Visits

Virtual Visit – During the restrictions we are offering schools the opportunity of a ‘virtual’ tour and Q&A session with one of our Ambassadors via Zoom. This provides a unique experience for your pupils to see the Synagogue and meet one of the congregation, without leaving the classroom. Please complete the ‘Request a visit to your school‘ form and we will be in touch to make arrangements.


School visits
We offer opportunities for school visits for Primary and Secondary groups. A school visit includes a guided tour of the Synagogue and Heritage Centre and a range of ‘hands on’ activities to enhance learning about the Jewish faith.

Visits to Schools
Would you like to have a visit from one of our Ambassadors? The Ambassadors are members of the congregation who have a great deal of knowledge and experience of Judaism to share. Our Ambassadors can present information, show the children interesting objects and answer any questions your pupils may have. Please complete the ‘Request a visit to your school‘ form and we will be in touch to make arrangements.

Group Visits
We welcome visitors and encourage adult groups (eg Church and University groups) and youth groups (eg Scouts) and others to book a tour of the Synagogue and Heritage Centre. Please complete the ‘Visit Synagogue request’ form and we will contact you to arrange your visit and discuss any specific needs and learning objectives that you have.

Heritage Open Days
The Synagogue and Heritage Centre hold regular open days, where we invite the public to come and visit us. Heritage Open days are free and provide the opportunity to look around our beautiful Synagogue and to find out more about the history of Leicester Hebrew Congregation in our new Heritage Centre. Ambassadors and volunteers are on hand to welcome you and provide information about the building and its history.
